Dallas Janasainyam Members Meet Central Minister Dr. Pemmasani Chandrasekhar
On September 19th 2024, A group of 40 Dallas Janasainyam Key members gathered to meet Dr. Pemmasani Chandrasekhar at his residence, He currently serves as Minister of State, Government of India and was elected to the Guntur constituency's parliament. The meeting focused on various ongoing projects within his ministry, particularly in the realms of Rural Development and Communications.
During the discussions, several key rural development issues were raised, with a collective request for Dr. Pemmasani to address these challenges in the future. Nataraju Elluri highlighted the below important topics.
1. Direct Flights: The need for direct flights from DFW to Hyderabad and Vijayawada/Amaravati to enhance connectivity.
2. Dual Citizenship: Consideration for dual citizenship for Indian-origin Americans, promoting stronger ties between the communities.
3. Rural Infrastructure: The necessity for improved sanitation, drinking water access in schools, and regular maintenance of these facilities in rural India.
