REQUIRED SKILLS: 5+ years Tandem/Cobol Development Experience Must have Proficiency in: COBOL, Pathway, TACL, Enscribe, FUP, SCUP, Peruse, Inspect, Netbatch Understanding of Legacy Systems best practices Proven ability to analyze and understand existing processes and code Mainframe Background a plus ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates development activities to be assigned to a team of 1-5 developers Develops system requirement specifications for medium to large program segments Develops detailed system requirement specifications Develops Technical Design Document Codes applications, databases, interface programs Conduct peer review (Unit Test) Creates Unit Test cases Documents code (comments) Documents system functionality Troubleshoots and updates code to address defects and enhancements Does hands-off of development back and forth to vendor organization; ensures consistency and quality
